Why start with a video emphasizing the Internet is a level playing field for business purposes? Primarily because so many people would contest this assertion. And in many ways, these individuals are correct when it comes to peripheral issues. However, there is zero doubt that the Internet once represented the single most fair form of capitalism we’ve ever seen on a massive scale. A wannabe book store website such as Amazon could pivot to a centralized e-commerce platform and not only compete with the massive brick and mortar retailers – it could crush them. The truth of the matter is the online environment has changed radically over the past ten years and will continue to change dramatically over the next ten from both a practical and legal perspective.
